The Reebok brand originated as J.W. Foster and Sons in the United Kingdom in the late 1800s. The brand was was introduced to America in 1958 as Reebok and expanded beyond running shoes into football and basketball. The 1990s brought some heavy hitters for endorsements including Shawn Kemp and Shaq. This is also when they launched their pump technology, which became part of the pop culture vernacular including the hilarious Chris Rock SNL commercial. Reebok became a serious competitor to Nike, and they have put out some truly stellar kicks. Reebok’s global headquarters are proudly located in Boston, and they also have regional offices in Montreal, Hong Kong, Amsterdam, and Mexico City.
