Rare Nike Shoes For Sale
Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight transformed their Blue Ribbon Sports venture into the Nike we know and love in 1964, the same year The Beatles invaded America. It all initially started with the University of Oregon’s running team. Knight and Bowerman launched Nike and brilliantly incorporated the minimal Swoosh design into one of the most recognizable brand logos and put forth quality sneakers and athletic apparel. Nike’s first endorsement from a professional athlete was Romanian tennis star Ilie Năstase, and the first track and field athletic endorsement was distance runner Steve Prefontaine. The Air Jordan line came along in 1985 and changed the sneaker collecting world forever, especially after Michael Jordan teamed up with designer Tinker Hatfield. Some of the world’s greatest athletes wear Nike kicks and apparel, helping to create a legacy (much like the 80s and 90s Chicago Bulls) that has transformed sneaker culture into what we know and love today.
